Mods I see as “necessary” (general gender): I would say explore and find out what suits you! I assume making a character is similar or nearly the same as how I do it, but I know many have their own textures and meshes. However, because I don’t use any I can’t give any information on them. I don’t normally use custom race mods, but there are a ton out there. I am trying to get into making male face presets (and maybe one-day some followers), so I do have some creation mods for males as well. Most of the creation mods I use center around women. One thing to note: I mainly play women in Skyrim. It’s not perfect and things will change, but you’ll get the idea of how to create a character for your liking.
